Our specialised trainings are recognised by the Swiss Confederation as well as the FEPTO (European Federation of Psychodrama and Training Organisations).
Combining inputs from J.L. Moreno and Carl R. Rogers, the Institute aims to train the students in the specific modalities (instruments, phases, techniques, etc.) of Humanistic Psychodrama.
The students will discover how to facilitate a person’s past, present and anticipated future experience and how the enactment allows treatment and the enabling of desired changes by mobilising the body as well as the psyche.
This is achieved by the externalisation in a safe environment of the internal mental process of a person.

Humanistic Psychodrama

“Show me what happened !”
J.L. Moreno, founder of Psychodrama, considered verbal and non-verbal action to be the royal path to the psyche and its activation. In his opinion, words are not enough and, on their own, can be misleading. For this reason, Moreno created a scientific way to explore and put into motion the psyche by using a method of action and interaction: psychotherapy through psychodrama.
In fact, “showing” instead of “talking about” is the main mode of exploration and development for the patient. Combining the Person-centred Approach and the Morenian Psychodrama, the humanistic psychodrama is a method using the enacting, deepening and the (re)activating of the psyche through the internal and external complexity of real, fictional and semi-fictional situations.

The reality of the patient is staged in order to

explore, get awarenesses, activate internal change and adjust attitudes and social behaviors, and
redevelop spontaneity and creativity, which Moreno considers the two pillars of health.

Psychotherapy by humanistic psychograma group

Since the 1930s, the use of psychodrama was developped in psychotherapy and psychiatry all over the world: in Europe (, as well as in the USA, South America, Australia and Asia (

Use of Psychodrama

The Psychodrama can be applied

with adults or children
in individual, couple or group consultations
in private practice or institutions

in order to

diagnose, evaluate a situation in its complexity and elaborate a plan for treatment
coach through secure and efficient enactment
allow a creative dynamic of profound change
facilitate the anchoring in our resources while working on the difficulties
achieving relief and “close” the past
activate a present focused on the desired future: the improvement of health

In other words, the humanistic psychodrama allows successful psychotherapeutic treatment, as to the nosography of patients, in different therapeutic environments in an autonomous and economic way.

Facilitate professionals work through “enactment with method”
Unique in Switzerland

Receive – recognised – trainings in the use of action with method designed by J.L. Moreno in contexts of professional coaching and training. This specialisation is recognised by the FEPTO (Federation of European Psychodrama and Training Organisations).
J.L. Moreno’s Method applied to teams is the art of:

maximising creative freedom and collaborative efficiency simultaneously through enactment
producing collective efficiency superior to the sum of individual efficiencies

Action Methods and Sociodrama: what is it?

“With sociodrama, we help a group telling their own story,
better understanding it and, if possible, changing it.”
Ron Wiener
“Show me the question, the situation…!”
“Action Method” and “Sociodrama” are the most common terms used to name the J.L. Moreno’s Method, when it is used for professional development. The Sociodrama mostly focuses on interaction and the development of roles.
Connect, ally and co-build.©Symposium ODeF 2016. Photo: Enrique Pardo
“Rather than talk about it, show me your question, your situation, your reality or your imagination and I will accompany you towards the change you desire.”
In short, this is the message delivered by the specialist in Action Methods. Through “game” and interaction of roles, this methodology (used with groups, teams or individuals), prefers action and experience to the sole verbal expression in order to achieve the desired change.
Beyond the numerous techniques, one has to facilitate action thanks to the humanistic method of J.L. Moreno.
The use of action is not casual. (pdf – 1p.)
Main objectives of the Action Method by J.L. Moreno

Facilitate through action with method the collective intelligence and exploration of given questions
Increase the skills of everyone and all
Transform what could have been a simple series of action techniques into an intense, playful, designed and safe process
Activate internal and/or external dynamics of a person, a team or a group
Facilitate the desired evolution using means related to the personality and situation of each person or of the group

Connect the 6 ways of integration, which are:
Express – Experiment – Exercise – Elaborate – Evaluate – Evolve

The Moreno’s Method facilitate collective intelligence, awareness and therefore the transformation of experiences and knowledge into skills directly applicable in the personal and professional environment.

Ever wondered why some teams just seem to work and others hit the rocks?
Dr. Meredith Belbin
Dr. Meredith Belbin originated the system of roles in a team, which is

internationally recognised by scientific researchers
translated into more than 35 languages
used in private industries and public institutions

The Belbin® Method allows everyone to identify their preferred roles in a team, and thus to put words on the added-value they bring to the team.
Obtaining your Belbin® Profile will allow you:

to receive feedback from your colleagues as to your contribution to the team
to clarify your Self-Marketing tools
to identify a strategy to develop your performance

The Nine Team Roles

We activate the nine roles at different levels. One must identify overall which are their preferred roles, because they correspond to their added-value and one need to be able to use them to thrive on the team.

Team-Caring Teambuilding Mediation

Every team needs to take a step back to be able to look at the operation and relation issues.
The low lever of tension depends on that: it can be achieved and maintained. Not only does it reinforce cohesion and coherence, but also the efficiency of each member of the team.
